The Department hopes to acquire these epi-pens in the near future for placement on fire apparatus. The aerial ladder for Ladder 1 successfully passed it rigorous annual test on November 19th. Two new multi-gas detectors were placed into service on ladder 1 and Engine 2 to replace two older and worn out models. These detectors were donated to the Department by the Wakefield Municipal Light and Gas Department. Funding for a third unit for Engine 1 is presently being requested by the Department through its capital outlay requests for Fiscal year 2012. Ladder 1 visited the Children’s Center of Wakefield at 483 Water Street on November 10th.
